THIS GUIDE is primarily intended as a resource for British dog owners and prospective owners, though non-British dog lovers should also find something in it for them. We shall be expanding it considerably over the next few months, but we would welcome any comments or suggestions you may have in the meantime. We shall shortly be adding a guestbook, a discussion forum, a guide to books, and an archive where we shall be reprinting extracts from a number of very early books.

Above all, this guide will focus on helping people make the right decision when it comes to buying a dog, and on providing a forum where dog owners can exchange their views and experiences with others.

In addition to publishing our own pages, we will be providing a comprehensive list of links to other sites. However, we will be restricting this only to quality sites of primary interest to British dog lovers. If you know of any such sites you think we should consider for inclusion, then please email us with the details.
